I’ve been writing and shipping software since 1996 — starting in healthcare and financial systems, then a decade leading software quality at Kestrel Technologies, followed by four years on medical imaging at INVIA (ISO 13485, FDA 510(k), EU compliance). Before that I served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Germany. That’s where I first learned the thing I still believe: the work that matters is the work that ships.
In 2016 I moved into agricultural technology — Director of Engineering at FarmLogs, then CTO of Farmwave, where I turned a proof-of-concept into a production app putting real-time AI crop analysis in farmers’ hands. I’ve led distributed teams across time zones and managed seven-figure budgets — but the part I love most is still being close to the code and close to the user.
